The Pledge of Allegiance brings people together…doesn’t it?

I had to share this link. I went to PBHS, and I now wonder if that’s a good thing. People need to remember that Americans came from all over the world. We can still honor this country while honoring our own heritage. I am German, Russian, Irish and Polish – and I am proud to be ALL of those. The LGBT community wants to remind you of something

Last week, a federal judge struck down the ban on same-sex marriage in South Carolina. It was the last state in the 4th District to change.  Of course, SC Attorney General Wilson immediately filed an appeal trying to get the ban to stay. There’s just one problem for him.  Doesn’t he realize that the appeal is going to the 4th District, which already lifted the ban? Four more years — of what?

So we now know the results of the election. But, we also know something else – not a lot of young people voted.  Granted, this was not a presidential election.  But, in many states, people had the chance to vote for many important offices.  For example, people in South Carolina were able to vote for governor, secretary of state and many representatives and senators – but they didn’t. Get out there and vote

Some people have told me that they don’t want to vote because they don’t like the candidates. That’s not an excuse. If you don’t like something, go out and change it. In my area – as I’m sure is the case for others – there are also issues to be voted upon today. Whomever or whatever you vote for, go out there and vote.
