Gamecocks win! The Gamecocks of the University of South Carolina won spectacularly in Week 1 of the 2017 NCAA College Football season. They were 5-point underdogs against the North Carolina State Wolfpack. But has that ever stopped them? Let me … Continue reading Gamecocks win in Week 1 Spectacular
Game two of the NBA Finals was last night, and the Cleveland Cavaliers won in overtime 95 – 93. I won’t speak for anyone else, but I was disappointed with the performance from the Golden State Warriors – especially Steph Curry. According to NBA.com, he missed eight of his first 10 shots, and he didn’t do much better in the rest of the game. On the other hand, LeBron James had another triple-double with 39 points, 16 rebounds and 11 assists. But let me talk about the one thing that isn’t being discussed much. LeBron had 39 points because many of … Continue reading #NBAFinals Game two – My Rant
The NBA Finals are all set to start on June 4 with the Golden State Warriors facing off against the Cleveland Cavaliers. I predict Steph Curry will help the Golden State Warriors take it, and I predict they’ll do it at home. But, I also predict the controversy that has followed both teams will follow them into the finals. How so? One word – fouls. Those that saw the conference finals saw incidents of major fouling. In some circles, those fouls are still being debated as to whether or not they were flagrant – 2, flagrant – 1 or no … Continue reading The NBA Finals are set – with some controversy
After watching Steph Curry’s amazing performance throughout the 2015 playoffs, I now understand why he was voted this season’s most valuable player. Last night, he surpassed Reggie Miller’s record of most 3-pointers in a single playoffs – and he did so much quicker than Reggie Miller did it. Having said that, in my opinion, comparisons between him and Michael Jordan have to start being discussed. Sure, LeBron James is still one of the best players in the NBA right now. But, look out! After Steph Curry’s performance this season, he has definitely proven worthy of one of the best players of … Continue reading Steph Curry: The next Michael Jordan?
We’ve been hearing about Jameis Winston for a long time – and, most of it is bad news. The problem is that the shenanigans haven’t just gone on for weeks. They’ve gone on for months. For those not in the know, Jameis Winston is the quarterback for Florida State University and has been in the news for several issues. There were reports of domestic violence, stolen items at a grocery store and a report that he jumped on a table and yelled out negative comments in the school cafeteria. There are now reports of his selling items for money, which is … Continue reading What’s the deal over the Jameis Winston case?
