I recently learned of the passing Dr. Wayne Dyer. For those that don’t know, he was an inspirational speaker whose message was reached by many people all over the world.
According to his website, he authored several books – for both adults and children. His messages are also found on CDs, calendars and videos. Dr. Dyer was also found on PBS videos spreading his positive messages.
His ideas behind traditional medicine and psychology were unlike any other I have found.
Although he battled leukemia for several years, he always said, “I Am well.” As discussed in “The Power of I Am“, Dr. Dyer always believed that whatever words you placed after “I am” defined you, but also spoke to your relationship with God.
He always believed that how you felt about yourself was a reflection of how you felt about your relationship with your Higher Power, which he referred to as “your Source.”
Dr. Dyer taught me how to look at my life and my surroundings in a completely different way. While I never met the man, he showed me how to think more positively about the world in which I live and my role within it. For that, I am Thankful.
Yes, I will miss him. But, his continuing positive attitude through his battles reminded me of the hurdles I went through growing up – and how we both persevered through them all.
As was said on his social media pages, “Wayne has left his body, passing away through the night.” That message can be found on his Facebook and Twitter pages.
He may have left his body, but his soul, great spirit and positive messages live on. For that, I Am Grateful.
