Let’s face it! 2016 was a year that most of us would like to forget!
The presidential election drove most of us crazy. North Korea is causing many of the world’s people to be scared. The Summer Olympics in Brazil caused concern over the water. Let’s never forget the “Black Lives Matter” movement either. And, of course, we can’t forget the forest fires in North Carolina.
However, let’s also remember that it’s Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the one day out of the year when we should all remember to be thankful.
Yes, there are still things we need to deal with. There will always be things that make life messy.
But, at least for one day, let’s just be thankful for the many things that are going well in our lives!
It starts with being alive!
I always tell people, “Any day you wake up is a good one!”, and it’s absolutely true! Anyone who knows my medical history knows that I always look for the silver lining, and I’ll never apologize for that.
What am I supposed to do? Be miserable all the time and constantly think of the negative things? No thanks! I’ve dealt with depression and anxiety, and I’m over it!
I’ve also stayed away from the drama that you constantly see on social media. It’s a great tool – IF you know how to use it well.
Just stay away from the negativity and drama. Don’t get sucked into other people’s stuff.
Keep your eyes on your goals and – as I’ve been saying a lot, lately – move forward!
I wish you nothing but Peace and Love!
