The Times – They truly are a changin’ for the LGBT community

Bob Dylan’s song is definitely fitting in today’s world. With laws changing to allow same-sex marriage in 24 states and possibly more coming soon, it truly seems like love has prevailed over certain people’s views. While I personally like women, I have friends in the LGBT community. I’ve always felt that they deserve to love whomever they chose to love.  Why should some people with certain titles get to dictate who they can and cannot love?  If you were told that you couldn’t marry someone, wouldn’t you get pissed off?  I know I would. It wasn’t so long ago that interracial marriages were illegal as well. Yet, two of my best friends are black, and they are both married to white women.  To that I say this: If they’re happy, who cares about anything else?  The same holds true for same-sex marriages.  If they’re happy, why should anything else matter?
